Well Yes, its become apparent that the uk will have more that one event this year and the organizers of these events want to bring them all in line to reduce the workload on the pilot's. By standardizing the "Rounds", organizers can choose which rounds they wish to use at their event. and ensure that pilots competing at another event aren't having to re-learn manoeuvres or judging criteria for each event. We see each round as a block and event organizer can choose which blocks they will use. A standard list of set manoeuvres has been created

Overview of Current "Blocks" Rounds

Grass Roots Set manoeuvres round:

  • Choose 5 sets from a restricted list
  • if pilot wishes to fly their "own" maneuver this can be accommodated
  • no time limit
  • Scores are out of ten and multiplied by the "K" factor

Set manoeuvres round:

  • Pilot choose's a specified number of set manoeuvres from the Full Set's list
  • Round flown within a specified time
  • Scores are out of ten and multiplied by the "K" factor

Set manoeuvres within Freestyle round:

  • Pilot choose's a specified number of set manoeuvres from the Full Set's list
  • Round flown in freestyle format with set manoeuvres incorporated within
  • Round flown within a specified time
  • Scores for the sets are out of ten and multiplied by the "K" factor
  • a score is added to the the sets score for the Freestyle element

  • 50% of marks for overhaul appearance
  • 50% of marks for technical merit
  • Round is flown within a specified time limit
