Clubman 2007

Got there on the Friday and the wind was notplaying ball had a few flights nothing too special. Satuarday was a funny day spent most of it in the RealRaptors tent setting up my Synergy (fitting a OMI cline) with a lot of help from Tris and Andy got the heli dialled in and it had the power I had always wanted from the N9 after having many filghts late afternoon I decided to use the N9 in the freestyle comp. so I put the N9 to bed and got out the raptor and and had a few flights and then had a final blow out flight with the raptor and boy was that fun. Low and dirty.
Then it was time to get ready for the night flying comp which me and peter decided to enter. My trex 450 was the best flying rex we had but my batteries where not up for anything other than hovering so we decided to use Peters batteries however for some reason my batteries where wired the wrong way round so Tris and Andy come to the rescue angain and we whip out a soldering iron and re-solder my ESC we then load the rex up with as much Glow sticks as we had the rex was very tail heavy but both me and Peter had great fun (neither of us won). Then it was off back to the tents for cleaning charging and checking over. Sunday the day of the comp.
For my sets I choose to use the trusty Raptor due to me not practising my sets with the N9 andy at realraptors loaded me a apainted canopy to put on the raptor and out I went (I was the first to fly) my sets went pretty well I thought. Then later on it was time for the main event freestyle. So I spark up the N9 go out give the heli a bit of a bashing all seems well put my music on and begin my flight, for some reason the heli was lacking a lot of power not sure why and I didn’t really notice I was too focused on the flying managed to do 15 seconds worth of flying before the tail hit the ground hard and N9 beats its self to death doing a mild chicken dance and the clutch exploding though the side of the canopy!! All told 450 -550 worth of damage and a bust painted canopy and came 14th out of 15 not a great result but a result none the less.
